2 years since adoption of the human right to water – Implement it

(6 August 2012) Against the opposition of several European governments and the European Commission the UN General Assembly declared water and sanitation a basic human right in July 2010. It was an important achievement for several governments and a broad coalition of organisations including EPSU http://www.epsu.org/a/7463 and PSI.

The human right to water was confirmed in Rio+20 but two years have passed and too little is happening.
