Rent vand og sanitet er en menneskeret!

Drikkevand er et offentlig gode, ikke en råvare! Vi opfordrer Europa-Kommissionen til at foreslå en lovgivning, der implementerer den menneskelige ret til vand og sanitet, som anerkendt af FN, og fremmer adgang til rent vand og sanitet, som væsentlige offentlige tjenester for alle.
EU-lovgivning bør kræve, at regeringerne sikrer og giver alle borgere adgang til tilstrækkeligt med rent drikkevand og sanitet. Vi opfordrer til at:

  1. EU-institutionerne og medlemsstaterne er forpligtet til at sikre, at alle indbyggere har adgang til rent vand og sanitet.
  2. Vandforsyning og forvaltning af resourcer ikke underlægges det indre markeds regler samt at vandforsyning ikke liberaliseres.
  3. EU øger sine bestræbelser på at opnå almen adgang til rent vand og sanitet.
